• Superhuman Strength: Strong enough to trip foot thick metal doors off their hinges with little effort. It also means he can jump several stories.
  
• Superhuman durability: Arthur is bulletproof when it's normal bullets. Energy rifles can harm him.
  
• Excellerated healing: When he is injured, Arthur heals injuries in days that would take humans weeks to heal.
  
• Superhuman speed/speed: In the water, Arthur generates propulsion that sounds like a sonic boom, and swims at speeds reaching 4.6 knots, which is faster than any naval vessel. It's estimated he could encircle the Earth is just under an hour at full speed. Out of the water, he's still fast enough to dodge bullets and evade most melee attacks.
  
• Superhuman stamina: He can go for days without sleep and can endure extended runs, swims, and fights without getting tired. He's also resistant to intense cold.
  
• Enhanced vision: He can see in near-complete darkness, adapted as Atlantians are to living at the bottom of the ocean.
  
• Amphibious: His Atlantian lineage as a high-born gives him the ability to breathe underwater as well as on land.
  
• Marine telepathy: He can speak telepathically with intelligent sealife and can influence lesser fishes to his service.
  
• The Trident of Atlan: As the worthy wielder of Atlan's trident, Arthur is able to use the weapon to control water. This includes summoning and directing tidal waves.
  
• Multilingual: Arthur speaks fluent English, Icelandic, Russian, Maori, Spanish, and Italian.
  
• Highly combat trained: He can wield a trident and a sword with expert skill.

• Compassionate: To spite feeling alienated from both the human and Atlantian worlds due to his dual ancestry, and feeling pressured by both to protect both, Arthur is a deeply compassionate man under his gruff exterior, helping others with no desire for repayment, often aiding as he can without so much as word and leaving before anyone can even thank him. His father instilled in him a deep love of the culture and arts of humanity and he feels it's his responsibility to protect them from those who would exploit them or eliminate them altogether.

• Fearless: Diving headfirst into danger comes naturally to Arthur Curry, and he rarely (if even) pauses to think of how dangerous a course of action may be. In fact, for Arthur, the more reckless the better. He's something of an adrenaline junkie and adventurer. He loves exploring and experiencing all manner of new things and doesn't take into consideration how dangerous the event might be.

• Resourceful and Adaptable: Arthur has a talent for turning environments to his advantage, often improvising weaponry or using the angles of a place to get an advantage on his foe. He's also possessing of a deep well of knowledge of human history and literature, from which he pulls often for unlikely solutions to puzzles and riddles or situations in which he finds himself. In a similar vein, he adjusts to new situations well, having experienced so many different cultures around the world, and makes himself at home quickly.

• Isolated and Distant: Due to his mixed ancestry and feeling as though he can't relate to other surface dwellers because of his abilities, as he's aged, Arthur has grown increasingly distant and isolated, preferring the company of very few save his father. Having superhuman abilities only made him feel like an outcast, and being told he had a great destiny with no choice in the matter by the few Atlantians he's met caused him to keep everyone at arm's length.

• Reckless and foolhardy: It's difficult to dissuade Arthur from a course of action once he's decided it, and little to no thought goes into his springing into action once he sees a solution. Never the careful planner, he's honestly bored easily by sitting around and plotting out moves and would rather plot out a course as the opportunities present themselves, adapting his plan on the fly as events change the situation. He's capable of planning, of course, but finds it difficult to stick to plans when the field changes.

• Short-tempered and reactive: Arthur isn't one to back down from a fight, and when challenged or insulted, he's quick to anger. His temper brings all of his worst recklessness to a head and all thoughts and concern vanish in the wake of proving someone wrong. That's easiest to see when he faces his half-brother, Orm, in single combat, accepting the challenge without even having any knowledge of Atlantian custom regarding the matter. He also is quick to assume insult when questioned.

• Being completely alone: Arthur fears being left with no one who knows him or understands him, just...the utter loneliness of that.

• The Trench: Both a place and a swarm of man-sized, superhumanly powerful denizens of the deep who can also breathe on land and who want nothing but to feed. They move in swarms (schools really) and are thoroughly relentless and completely uncontrollable save for those who wield the Trident of Atlan. for visual reference
